We have three camping options available at the New and Gauley Base. For the do it yourself crowd, we supply the site, fire ring, and picnic table, and you supply the tent. Or if no muss, no fuss is more your style, our 4-person tents on platforms with foam mattresses make roughing it easy. New for 2006, we also have RV sites available with electrical and water hook-ups. Shower houses and bathrooms are conveniently located as well as soda machines and telephones.
Our tents on platform camping is situated on the hill behind our restaurant. With the campground this close, guests are within easy walking distance of our bath houses, restaurant, pool, store, and hot tub. Situated in a shaded area, our sites are set up with fire rings and picnic tables.
For those who want no muss, no fuss, tent on platform camping is for you. Forget about packing a tent, setting it up, and tearing it down at the end of the trip. We've done the work for you.Our large, four person, tents are set up on wooden platforms and covered by a tarp-roof to protect you from the elements. They come equipped with four 4-inch foam mattresses. The only gear you will need to bring is your sleeping bag or bedding, and pillow.
Appalachian Wildwaters is happy to offer several RV sites located just below our New & Gauley Outpost. These sites are come complete with electrical and water hookups. Because space is limited be sure to check availability in advance.
