Quiet , rest, relaxation, wilderness. That is what we have to offer at Rugged River Resort. Not many resorts can offer 120 acres of solitude and the unspoiled beauty of the Northwood's and yet be only minutes away from the many activities of the Brainerd Lakes Area. Our resort, at one time a logging camp, is situated on the slow moving overflows of the Mississippi River. Over 20 miles of river nature and beauty are available for your enjoyment and exploration. We also boast excellent fishing with walleye, northern, bass and pan fish catches. We are 1.5 miles away from the Paul Bunyan biking, hiking, snowmobile trail. Again, Imagine... A vacation place that is truly quiet, peaceful, scenic.

We currently have 18 leased sites with full hookups located in a wooded area and generously spaced apart. Dock space is available near by.

Our cabins sit on the edge of the beautiful Mississippi River and are surrounded by 120 acres of Northwood's scenery. Located on a peninsula the cabins are well spaced giving you a real sense of privacy.
