Campfire Lodgings, Asheville, North Carolina

Located on Goldview Knob, Campfire Lodgings is just ten minutes north of Asheville, North Carolina. With over 100 acres of woods and numerous trails, we offer a variety of mountain lodging possibilities from fully furnished cabins to tent and RV sites.

At night you can build a fire and watch the sun set. Some nights have colors you only see in your dreams.If you are an early riser you may have a chance to watch the clouds rise up from the valley below. On these mornings you get a feeling of being on top of the world.

Our campground sits atop the mountain with full hookups and great views. With no roads or highways in sight it makes for a good night's sleep. We also have primitive tent sites.Our bath house is located in the middle of the campground and has private bathrooms with hot and cold water.

Our bath house has private bathrooms and a laundry room. The bath house has a 10/10 rating with Trailer Life. Our tent sites are all divided and each has a fire ring and a picnic table. The tent sites are also wooded, some more private than others. If you are up for an adventure, we also have some tent sites you can hike to. Our nature trails are located on the South side of the mountian and are in their natural state.

There are many places to stop, enjoy the view, and let your spirit relax as you enjoy your vacation. You can have a picnic at our pond. You can also catch and release fish at our pond.

Our goal is to give you a care-free vacation where you can stay right here at the campground. Or you take a short ride to the highest point east of the Mississippi (Mt. Mitchell, off the Blue Ridge Parkway). You may also want to visit Biltmore Estates to see how the other half lived. If rafting, horseback riding, or nature is your thing you won't find a better area to visit. Don't take my word for it, come see for yourself.

Our campground is about 1/2 mile up the mountain and we have 15 RV sites with water, electric, sewer, & cable TV hookups. Three sites have phone hookups. A phone is also lacated in the laundry room if you want to hook up your laptop to get your e-mail.

We have two cabins that sleep up to 7 people. The downstairs bedroom has a queen or king size bed. Upstairs has 2 twin beds and a twin futon. Downstairs, the living room has a full size futon. Each cabin has 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, and a gas grill out on the deck. All you need to bring is your food and clothes.

Our Cliff House is about 3,000 sq. ft. with 3 bathrooms, 2 fireplaces, and 2 decks to sit and enjoy the fresh air. It sleeps up to 11 people and is a house unlike any you have seen before. The house was built around a rock in the side of the mountain that is now a rock located inside the house.
