Aspen Acres Campground, Rye, Colorado
Welcome to Aspen Acres Campground, located alongside of the 103 mile Colorado Frontier Pathway and Scenic Byway. The Byway stretches through the beauty of South Central Colorado and the San Isabel National Forest. We are located three miles above Lake San Isabel, a 40 acre stocked lake tucked in the mountains. Our altitude is 9200 ft, which make summer high temperatures average in the 70's, and nighttime lows dip into the 50's, great for sleeping.
Bordering the San Isabel National Forest leaves plenty of things open for the adventurous to do. Trails stretch throughout the Forest, leading to many beautiful peaks and mountain valleys. Whether on foot, mountain bike, horse, or motorcycle, the trails offer much for many. You may even see a black bear rumbling along, or some of the many other animals that live in the mountains. But then again for those who would rather relax on their vacations, the quiet atmosphere of the mountains and cool breezes make for lawn chair relaxing. We look forward to seeing you.

Our R.V. sites are all full hook ups (no 50 amp), and stretch around the campground, leaving many options for types of sites, such as farther away tucked up into the mountain, or down closer to our large rec hall and shower house area. Our cabins are also spread across the campground; some nestled privately in the woods. Besides the rec hall and game room, we have two open pavilions with cooking grills on the campground. Since we border the National Forest, our campfire policy complies with the Forest Service, meaning we allow campfires when they do. We have a shower house and laundry room, which we pride ourselves on in its cleanliness. A restaurant and store can be found three miles down the road by the lake.
