"The Gateway To Taylor Canyon" is located in the historic Town of Almont. First cabins were built in the late 1800's as sportsmen discovered a paradise in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. The beauty of the clear blue skies, high rugged mountains and crystal clear, trout-filled rivers provided a wonderful atmosphere - the perfect getaway. The resort is on the Taylor River and within walking distance to the East and the Gunnison Rivers. The East and Taylor Rivers come together in Almont and form the headwaters of the magnificent Gunnison River. The resort borders the Gunnison National Forest and is a short distance to both Gunnison and Crested Butte.

Modern Cabins - Choose from many different sizes and bed arrangements. One room to four bedroom cabins. All cabins have baths, fully equipped kitchens, outside picnic table and charcoal grills. No telephones, antenae T.V. cable available.
Vacation Homes - Two large log homes with optional loft. Main houses have 3-4 bedrooms + master bedroom with own bath. Combine main house with loft and can sleep 12-14 persons. Great views, decks, gas BBQ, hot tub, W/D and dishwasher.
Lodge Rooms - Located above General Store, these one room units have full baths and kitchen with micro-wave and toaster oven.
RV + Tent Sites - choose full or limited services. All have concrete patios, fire pits, charcoal grill picnic table and central bath house.
