The Pleasant Street Inn Bed and Breakfast, in the village of Greenville, Maine, is 1/2 block from the East Cove of Moosehead lake, the largest lake in Maine, we provide intown convenience- a short walk to restaurants, pubs, shops, outfitters and the restored steamship Katahdin.
Built in 1889, by the Sanders Family, the first outfitters in the state of Maine, pre-dating L.L. Bean by 60 years, this historic and grand Queen Anne home typifies the New England Inn. Rare Tiger Oak woodwork graces the Foyer, Stairs and Main Parlor. Two Guest Parlors, original art and antiques throughout, 6 individually appointed guestrooms with private baths, a 150 ft. wraparound porch and a 4th floor Tower Room with 360ยบ views of the lake, mountains and village, provide guests with enchanting comfort.
Morning begins in the Butler's Pantry with coffee, assorted teas and juices. A full hot breakfast is served from 8- 9 am in the dining room or on the wrap around porch, weather permitting.
The inn offers seasonally inspired dinners to guests only. Dining during your stay requires advance notice and can be arranged at the time you make your reservation. We'll be happy to discuss menu options with you.
Hiking, mountain biking, Moose Safaris, kayaking, canoeing, whitewater rafting, golfing fly-fishing, swimming, seaplane rides, Katahdin cruises, and plenty of great back road drives just waiting for you and your camera, especially during Fall foliage season. Snowmobile on the groomed Interconnecting Trail System that stretches for hundreds of miles. Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, dogsled rides, ice skating, snowboarding and downhill skiing,15 minutes from the Inn at Big Squaw Mountain Resort, where you can get a Lake Tahoe view, barely a lift line and 1986 prices!
