House of The Seven Gables, Nantucket, Massachusetts
The House of the Seven Gables was built in 1885 and was originally the annex for the Sea Cliff Inn, which was one of Nantucket's oldest hotels before its destruction in 1972. The annex was constructed during the Victorian era at a time that there was very little growth on the island. The "Seven Gables" is one of the few and finest examples of architecture during that period.
Located on Cliff Road the Seven Gables is a ten minute walk from Main Street and is a very short walk to beaches, tennis courts, bike shops, museums and restaurants.
