The 1811 House, Manchester Village, Vermont
Situated in the center of Manchester, a classic Vermont Village, the 1811 house offers you the warmth and comfort of your own home, the ambiance of yesteryear combined with 20th century conveniences including full air conditioning.
Built in the 1770's, the house has operated as an inn since 1811 except for a period when it was the private residence of Mary Lincoln Isham, the granddaughter of President Lincoln. Listed in the National Registry of Historic Places.
Prices from $140to $280. Our room rates are subject to Vermont state tax. Breakfast is included.
All of our thirteen bedrooms, each with private bath and shower, have been tastefully decorated. Fireplaces, oriental rugs, fine paintings, authentic antiques and canopied beds create an elegant but relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. A full breakfast is included. The Inn is fully air-conditioned. Each guest room is named for individuals prominent in the history of the Manchester area. For relaxing, there are two sitting rooms, both with fireplaces, each elegantly but comfortably furnished. One has a game table with chess set and a small TV. There is also a recreation room in the basement with a pool table, ping pong table and TV.
Guests are welcome in the kitchen, where they are free to make tea or coffee and sample delicious home made cookies.
