Lodge at Moosehead Lake, Greenville, Maine
The Lodge at Moosehead Lake is the "diamond in the woods" of the Central Highlands tourist region, located in Greenville on the shores of spectacular Moosehead Lake.
The Lodge at Moosehead Lake, a luxurious and romantic bed and breakfast inn in Greenville inspired and surrounded by nature, has a rustic, rugged beauty. The Lodge can best be described by a quote from Fodor's Escape to Northern New England 2003. "If Teddy Roosevelt and Ralph Lauren had collaborated on an inn overlooking the biggest lake in Maine's North woods, the result might have been the Lodge At Moosehead Lake". The spectacular views over the lake as well as the surrounding mountains are the focus points, it is peaceful, secluded, breathtakingly beautiful, and the ideal retreat for total pampering and relaxation. All 8 rooms (except for the one with the forest view) and porches open onto views of the lake's western shore. When you stay here at the Lodge at Moosehead, you are truly "roughing it in comfort."
After a relaxing day or two at the inn and taking the obligatory moose tour on Bruce's Moose Mobile, you can travel onward to your destinations in Northern New England, Quebec or Atlantic Canada. A comfortable drive will take you to "Down east" Maine, Saint John and the Bay of Fundy. New Brunswick, to the ferries to Nova Scotia, the Eastern Townships of Quebec or the White or Green Mountains. We have Select Inns all along the way.
Breakfast is included. Reservations are recommended.

Blessed with so much raw beauty, the lush forested region lures people from all over the world. It is these very same woodlands that called out to the naturalist Henry David Thoreau to trek its rugged terrain with a guide in the mid-1800's.
