Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains among acres of orange groves, lies The Plantation Bed & Breakfast of Lemon Grove, CA. The plantation is a peaceful country getaway located in a small citrus community with a population of 190, yet conveniently located on the two-lane scenic California Highway 198 with various tourist attractions and over 150 restaurants within a 20 minute drive.

For over one hundred years, this 4,500 square foot home on twenty acres of orange groves was known as the Mesa Verde Citrus Plantation. In 1996, the Plantation House was transformed into the Plantation Bed & Breakfast and remains on one and a half acres of the original twenty. Take a step back in time when you walk into the original settlers' house, built from California river rocks in 1880.

Stroll through the lawns and acres Grove Park and you will see not only orange trees but peach, plum, apricot, cherry, lemon, tangerine, avocado, fig, pear, pomegranate, apple, nectarine, banana and olive trees. As well we have grapevines and herb and vegetable gardens that provide the freshest produce possible for the breakfast table. Just for your sensual delight recline in an Adirondack chair under a weeping willow, laze in a hammock suspended between palm trees and enjoy the birds and butterflies flitting among the many blossoming vines, shrubs, flowers and ornamental and shade trees.
